Bosnia
Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is located in the heart of southeast Europe and is a great destination if you are looking for something off the beaten path. It is a stunningly beautiful country that offers a variety of landscapes, cultures, traditions and people. The weather is a mix of Mediterranean and Continental under the influence of the Adriatic Sea and the mountainous Alps and is agreeable all year round.
Bosnia is located in the western Balkans, and covers the north and centre of the country, bordering Croatia to the north and south west, Serbia to the east, and Montenegro to the south east. Most of the area is covered with mountains, which can provide lots of opportunities for skiing, and has only 20 km of coastline.
There are some major cities that are a favorite tourist points, such as Sarajevo (the capital), Banja Luka, Mostar and Medjugorje, a major international tourist destination, thanks to its roots as a centre of Catholic pilgrimage
The best time to visit Bosnia is in spring or summer, however, the best time for skiers is between December and February.
